The Class Rating Multi Engine (Piston) is the application of all the previous modules (PPL + IR + CPL) to a multi engine airplane.
Multi-Engine training adds significant skills towards your path to a professional pilot since you will learn to handle more complex aircraft and specific situations related in particular to the possible failure of one engine. A number of factors must be considered, like:
- performance degradation affecting climb rate;
- service ceiling;
- range and airspeed;
- directional control after an engine failure;
- takeoff decisions related to control and performance during takeoff.
LFTA ‘s Multi Engine Training uses a Piper PA44 Seminole twin aircraft and the TRU-Mechtronix Ascent FNPTII Simulator.
